Strasbourg

Capital of Alsace

Strasbourg is the biggest city in the Alsace region, and is also one of the three European capitals, along with Brussels and Luxembourg. Indeed, it hosts various European institutions, such as the Council of Europe. Located in the extreme east of France, it borders the Rhine river. In the history, Strasbourg was marked by the wars between France and Germany. Its heritage includes the Petite France area, the Cathedral Notre-Dame de Strasbourg and the Place Kléber. Strasbourg is an important student city, hosting more than 55 000 students, with 1 out 5 students being an international student!
